Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Palembang. Personnel of Banten Regional Police arrested one suspect of the Covid-19 antigen test result letter forgery case in Tangerang regency. This statement was issued by the Chief of Tangerang City Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Wahyu Sri Bintoro, together with the Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Silitonga, on the press release in the Headquarter of Tangerang City Departmental Police on Tuesday (24/08/21).
"Based on public report numbered LP/311/A/VIII/RES.1.9/2021/Resta Tangerang dated August 14, 2021, Tangerang City Departmental Police of Banten Regional Police arrested one suspect, initialed GTL aka G (23), resident of Panongan district of Tangerang regency", Police Grand Commissioner Wahyu Sri Bintoro said.
Chief of Tangerang City Departmental Police explained the criminal mode of the perpetrator in Covid-19 antigen test result letter forgery. The person scanned the original copy and edited the data with Adobe Photoshop, and printed it.
"He charged Rp25,000 per letter for the forged Covid-19 antigen test result letter", the Class of 1998 graduate of the Police Academy said.
Former Director of Drugs Investigation Agency of West Sumatra Regional Police added that, based on the arrest, Tangerang City Departmental Police of Banten Regional Police seized one Alcatros CPU, one unit of LG monitor, one unit of M-Tech keyboard, one unit of Epson printer, one unit if Canoscan scanner machine, one original vaccination card owned by Sri Kusmiyati, one Covid-19 antigen test result letter owned by Sri Kusmiyati, one Covid-19 antigen test result letter owned by Siti Rahayu, and Rp100,000 in cash.
Due to their actions, GTL aka G has violated Articles 363 and 268 of the Indonesian Criminal Code and was threatened with six years maximum in prison.
Meanwhile, Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Silitonga, advises the public not to take advantage of profit during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"For all people under the jurisdiction of Banten Regional Police, I advise not to do law-violating actions such as forging Covid-19 antigen test result letter", Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police said.
"People must issue these letters at the determined locations," Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Silitonga concluded.
