Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Medan. Police are still investigating the owner of a bag with "Watch Out for Bomb" found by the locals at a pole in Gunung Simanuk-manuk street, Pematangsiantar, North Sumatra, some time ago.
"We are looking for the bomb terror perpetrator, even though the bag does not contain bomb", Chief of Pematangsiantar Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sutan Binaga Siregar, said on a press release on Tuesday (31/8/2021).
Chief of Pematangsiantar Departmental Police said the personnel are gathering information and witnesses to find the fake bomb terror perpetrator. He also mentioned that several witnesses were asked when the bag appeared at the location.
"We had asked for information from several witnesses on since when the bag appeared on the location", he said.
Chief of Pematangsiantar Departmental Police hoped that this incident would never happen again because it could disturb the activity and convenience of Pematangsiantar residents.
Previously, a bag with a bomb warning written on it shocked the Pematangsiantar residents. The bag was found hanging outside a Zoo.
"Yes (we found the bag with the bomb warning) in the front of a Zoo in Siantar", Chief of Pematangsiantar Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Boy Sultan Binaga Siregar, said when confirmed.
In the front of the bag, there are two writings on bomb warning written "Warning" and "Watch Out for Bomb". After being checked, the bag was filled with rocks, suspected from pieces of floor.
"Not a bomb, but some boulders", the Chief of PR and Press Agency of North Sumatra Regional Police.
