Police Headquarter Ensures 1,500 Joint Personnel Are Ready to Secure World Superbike in Mandalika

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. 1,500 joint National Armed Forces and National Police personnel were deployed to secure the 2021 World Superbike (WSBK) world race at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Assistant Operations (Asops) of the National Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Imam Sugianto, said that the international event is an influential agenda that will raise Indonesia's name in the world's eyes, so security during the event is quite important.

There are about 1,500, yes. That also includes involving the National Armed Forces, said the Assistant Chief of the National Police.

Not only personnel, several equipment and vehicles were also deployed for the smooth running of the event, from helicopters to ships.

"We have deployed around a thousand West Nusa Tenggara regional police officers. Then we took BKO (Operational Control Assistance), helicopters, ships, Water and Air Division, the Mobile Brigade. So mobile Brigade Corps is not too prominent there, yes," added Operational Assistant of National police Chief.

As is known, Indonesia is the host of international events. The world-class activities in sight include the Asian Talent Cup and the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Previously, the National Police Chief General of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo, emphasized the importance of accelerating or accelerating the vaccination program in West Nusa Tenggara ahead of the Asian Talent Cup and World Superbike Championship (WSBK) at the Mandalika Circuit. West Nusa Tenggara is known to host three world racing competitions from mid-November to early 2022.
