Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Kerinci. Team of Drugs Investigation Unit of Kerinci Departmental Police found one hectare of marijuana field in Sungai Ning village, Sungai Bungkal district, Sungai Penuh city.
Chief of Kerinci Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Agung Wahyu Nugroho, stated that the Drugs Investigation Unit first received people report on Wednesday (20/10) at 13.00 at KM 10 of Puncak, Sungai Bungkal district, Sungai Penuh city. After receiving the said information, Kerinci Departmental Police then deployed personnel to the informed location.
"When the personnel arrived, Police found around 100 stems of Class 1 Drugs of Marijuana, and one black plastic bag containing 105 grams of marijuana", Chief of Kerinci Departmental Police said.
Later, departed from the development result, at 16.00, Police arrested a woman and the evidence of one bag of sun-drying marijuana at the Pondok Ladang, KM 10 of Puncak.
"During the raid, one person managed to flee, and only one woman that we are arrested, initialled FY (40)", Chief of Departmental Police added.
Next, FY then arrested. Her husband, who is suspected of owning the said marijuana field, ran away. Chief of Departmental Police stated that after the arrest, the personnel also searched the ground and found many two-metres high harvest-ready marijuana plants in the one-hectare field. The suspect and evidence are detained at the Kerinci Departmental Police for further development and investigation.
To go to the crime scene, the personnel needed one hour walking across the tilted cliff and under the rain, which caused the road to be slippery. The suspect admitted that they had conducted this business for the last five months.
At the moment, Kerinci Departmental Police is developing the case to expose the marijuana trafficking in the Sungai Penuh city and Kerinci regency.
