Police Chief Riau Officially Commence SIPSS Selecetion

Marked by the signing of integrity pact and vow by the committee, participant, parents/custodian, the selection of the National Police through the School of Police Inspector Sumber Bachelor (SIPSS) of the Riau Police begins, Monday (31/1).

The occasion held at Tribrata Hall of Riau Police Headquarters, directly led by Riau Police Chief (Kapolda), Inspector General (Irjen), Mohammad Iqbal S.I.K., M.H.

In his brief, Kapolda reminded that in the implementation of the selection, the health protocols should still be implemented. Kapolda said that every year many youth want to dedicate themselves to joining the National Police.

"Polri as an institution is one of factor in the development of this country, and ensures security and public order, even in every sector of community daily lives" said the Riau Police Chief.

Kapolda Riau explained that members of the National Police have played an important role in maintaining security conditions in the daily activities of the community. Therefore, regarding the recruitment of Polri members through the current SIPSS route, he wants the best officers to graduate, which can be achieved through the implementation of a good scheme and selection stage.

Former Head of Public Relations Division of National Police, shared the participant that participate in SIPSS are 72 people, with 39 men and 32 women.

“We want the best, trained graduate to join the the National Police,” said Kapolda Riau.

He explained what kind of personnel that he wants from this selection, surely an officer who can adapt in this dynamic era of information and technology.

“We want to recruit graduates who are also able to share their talent to other Polri personnel. I believe and trust that the participants have prepared everything to pass the selection process," said the Riau Police Chief.

The Riau Police Chief advised, in carrying out this selection, it should be guided by the 'BETAH' principle, namely BErsih (Clean), Transparan (Transparent), Akuntabel (Accountable), and Humanis (Humanist).

“I would like to say thank you to all who attend. For all participants I wish you good luck on carrying out the selection according to the directions, and for all the committee I wish you all the best on accomplishing the selection with BETAH principle,” he concluded.

This occasion was also attended by, Wakapolda Riau,Brigadier General Tabana Bangun and a number of other top Riau Regional Police officials. Representatives from related institutions were also present, such as the RI Ombudsman for Riau Representative, Riau Education Office, Riau IDI, Riau HIMPSI, and Pekanbaru City Civil Registration Office.
