Police Arrests Man Reluctant to Plant 6 Pots of Marijuana in Bathroom

Tribratanews.polri.go.id. - Jakarta. The police arrested a man with the initials (OK) in Lebak Bulus, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The perpetrator was found to have planted six pots of marijuana trees in the bathroom.

The Crime and Drug Investigation Unit have secured and arrested OK suspects in relation to marijuana-type narcotics abuse, said Head of the South Jakarta Resort Police's The Crime and Drug Investigation Unit, Pol. Grand Commissioner Wadi Sabani.

"It is suspected that the type of marijuana that is still in its dried form is also the seeds. The suspect is being held at his residence in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta," he continued.

From his confession, the suspect had been growing the marijuana for the past six months. Cannabis seeds are collected from used ones that are trying to be replanted.

“It was found 103 grams of dried marijuana. He grows, maintains, owns both live and dried cannabis plants," he added.

The Chief of Crime and Drug Investigation Unit at the South Jakarta Resort Police also explained that the suspect had harvested the marijuana tree. The suspect admitted to getting and growing marijuana from seeds obtained from a friend who is now wanted by the police.

"Six months the cannabis plant can be picked leaves to be dried and consumed. His confession is that he uses it once a day before going to bed," he said.

For his actions, the suspect will be subject to Article 111 paragraph (1) and (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of at least IDR 1 billion.
