Polda Sumsel Successfully Solved 45 Drug Crimes in a Week

inp.polri.go.id – Palembang. As an opening to February 2022, The Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the Regional Police (Polda) of South Sumatra (Sumsel), along with Polrestabes and Polres, succeeded in uncovering 45 cases of drug crimes in the South Sumatra region.


"We continue to take various actions related to drug networks to ensure that our area is safe from those illicit goods," said the Head of Public Relations (Kabidhumas) Polda Sumsel, Commissioner Supriadi, Monday (07/02/22).


On the first week of February 2022, Ditresnarkoba Polda Sumsel, cooperating with the Polrestabes and Polres, managed to uncover 45 cases by arresting 51 suspects.


"Of the suspects who were detained by our members, there were 44 dealers and 7 users who were arrested," said the South Sumatran Police Intermediate Officer.


Police Commissioner Supriadi explained that around 16.7 kilograms (kg) of methamphetamine, 239.27 grams of marijuana, and 11 1/2 pills of ecstasy were seized from the hands of 51 suspects who were secured by members of Ditresnarkoba Polda Sumsel, cooperating with Polrestabes and Polres.


"We will continue to eradicate drugs in our area so that the younger generation is safe from this illicit drug trafficking," said Akabri graduate of 1991.
