The Directorate of Narcotics Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the South Sumatra Police (Polda Sumsel) together with the Polrestabes and Polres continue to make various efforts to eradicate drug sellings in the South Sumatra region.
The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Polda Sumsel Commissioner Supriadi said, on the second week of February 2022, Ditresnarkoba, with the help of cops in the South Sumatra region can uncover 45 drug cases by securing 72 suspects.
With the disclosure of dozens of cases and the arrests of drug dealers and users, Kabid Humas Polda Sumsel stated that various efforts were continuously being made to fight drugs so that the younger generation was safe from the entanglement of these illicit goods.
"We are continuing our efforts to eradicate drugs. Over the past week we have uncovered 45 cases by securing 72 suspects with details of 59 dealers and 13 users," said Kabid Humas Polda Sumsel on Monday (14/2/22).
The authorities also seized evidence in the form of 233.06 grams of methamphetamine, 452.07 grams of marijuana, and 5,123 pills of ecstasy.
"In this second week, from the data we have gathered the list of revealed cases is nil, which indicates that the Polrestabes and Polres in the ranks have disclosed drug cases this week," stated the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police.
From solving these drug cases, it is estimated that the South Sumatra Police have saved as many as 12,096 children of the nation from the entanglement of narcotics illicit goods.
