He confirmed that the video of the refusal to build a new Mako Polsek in Ilaga, Puncak Regency is not true.
"It is just misinformation, the video is against the replacement of the Sinak Police Chief (Kapolsek Sinak) and Military District CommandDanramil, not against the construction of the Sinak Police Headquarters," stated Kabid Humas Polda Papua, Thursday, March 3, 2022.
According to Kabid Humas Polda Papua the 55-second video, uploaded on the YouTube channel Papua Talks on Thursday, March 3, 2022, with the title "Aksi Penolakan Pembangunan Kapolsek Baru di Sinak Puncak Illaga", was intentionally uploaded by certain groups to steer public opinion against the Police.
“These groups want to fabricate the public opinion that we cannot protect the citizens. However, the truth from that video is that they asked that the Kapolsek Sinak and Danramil not be replaced,” said Kabid Humas Polda Papua.
He added that the demonstration against the replacement of Danramil Captain Inf Ardavid and Kapolsek Sinak, Ipda Musa Ayakeding, happened on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the Sinak Police Headquarters.
“This is proof that the community of Sinak cares about the presence of TNI-Polri. They considered Kapolsek and Danramil as their own family,” stated Kabid Humas Polda Papua.
