North Sumatran Police Chief, Inspector General Drs. R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, M.Sc., accompany the President of the Republic of Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo in inaugurating seven ferry port and four ferries in Ajibata Harbor Pier Area, Toba Regency, Wednesday (2/2/22).
The seven ports include Ajibata and Balige Ports in Lake Toba Regency, Tigaras Port in Simalungun Regency. Furthermore, there is the Simanindo port in Samosir Regency. Then, Marbun Toruan/Baktiraja Port in Humbang Hasundutan Regency, Muara Port in North Tapanuli Regency, Tongging Port in Karo Regency.
Not only inaugurating the port, the President of the Republic of Indonesia also provided four ferries in the Ajibata Harbor Pier area. The four ferries consist of the KMP Pora-Pora with a capacity of 180 passengers and 21 vehicles.
There are also KMP Kaldera Toba with a capacity of 152 passengers and 15 vehicles and lastly Asa-Asa Water Bus and Jurung-Jurung Water Bus with each of those has a capacity of 150 passengers
Those ports hopefully could support the super-tourism destination of Lake Toba as one of leading tourist destinations in Indonesia. In addition, the ferry port and KMP are needed by the community around Lake Toba to support their mobility and daily activities.
"Today 7 ferry ports in the Lake Toba area have been completed and can be used by the community," said the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
The North Sumatran Police Chief along with the North Sumatran Governor and the Commander of the I/BB Regional Military Command we seen to accompany the President of the Republic of Indonesia in every series of activities of his visits in North Sumatra.
