inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Regional Police have begun to prepare various traffic engineering strategies to anticipate backflow congestion during the 2022 Nyepi long holiday.
Director of Traffic Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, S.I.K., M.T.C.P., stated that this traffic engineering scheme aims to anticipate traffic congestion as happened during the Isra Miraj long holiday earlier this week.
“We have prepared contra-flow scenario and will be used if necessary,” stated Director of Traffic Polda Metro Jaya.
As stated by Commissioner Sambodo, the implementation of the contraflow engineering scheme will be situational depending on traffic flow conditions. In addition to contraflow, the Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya has also prepared his personnel to be on standby at points prone to congestion.
"We have prepared our members at points prone to congestion. We have dispatched 100 personnel from the Traffic Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya," said the Director of Traffic at the Polda Metro Jaya.
The Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya explained that there are 4 locations prone to congestion around Jabodetabek, which are the Depok-Bogor border, the Jagorawi toll road, the Cikampek Utama toll gate, and the Kalihurip Utama toll gate.
"We only anticipate the return. So far the road to Bogor from Jakarta is congested but still moving smoothly," concluded the Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya.
