inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya will continue to apply the odd-even rule during the Level 2 Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) implementation.
"We will not revoke it, we will still carry it out, the odd-even policy," said the Director of Lantas Polda Metro Jaya Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, S.I.K., M.T.C.P., to the reporters, Friday (4/2/22).
According to the Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, the implementation of the odd-even policy can actually reduce the volume of vehicles in several areas in the capital. In addition, the decline was also caused by several companies implementing WFH.
"We can also see that at this time the traffic volume has decreased somewhat compared to the previous weeks, especially in odd-even areas," said the Director of Lantas Polda Metro Jaya.
He added that the increase in public transportation such as in TransJakarta have reached 50-70 percent. Later, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service together with TransJakarta will review the issue of increasing passengers.
Previously, the Chairman of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Mujiyono, asked DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to temporarily abolish the odd-even policy to reduce movement by mass transportation that has the potential an outbreak of Covid-19.
