“For the time being, we still halt the street race until the Covid-19 situations quiet down,” said Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, Rabu (23/2/22).
He explained that his party still continue in preparing the legal street race. The delay time will be optimized in preparing the race track.
“We still halt the race, but when there is no race, we still continue in preparing the race track and all other things related to the race,” said Dirlantas.
Dirlantas also have not given a clear schedule about the race when the pandemic got quiet, however, he expected the event will be held in early April. “Hopefully if the case keeps decreasing, the race can be held in March or early April at the latest.
