Polda Kaltara Successfully Derail Drug Network from Malaysia

inp.polri.go.id - Kaltara. The Directorate of Narcotics Investigation of the Kaltara Police (Polda Kaltara) managed to thwart the drug networks of 30 kilograms of methamphetamine from Malaysia.

According to the Kaltara Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Kaltara), Inspector General (Irjen) Daniel Adityajaya, S.H., S.I.K., M.Sc., said the illegal goods were smuggled by sea from the Tawau area, Malaysia, to Bunyu Island, Bulungan, Kaltara.

"The arrest comes to pass on February 10, 2022, at around 00:10 WITA at the Twin Pancang Tower, Bunyu Sea Waters, Bulungan, Kaltara," said the Polda Kaltara, Friday (18/2/22).

"We secured 28 packs of methamphetamine weighing 30.72 kilograms, and one speedboat and an engine," he added.

Irjen Daniel Adityajaya, S.H., S.I.K., M.Sc., stated that the courier who carried 30 kilograms of those illegal goods was foreign from Malaysia.

"The suspect is MH, a Malaysian citizen, and A, also a Malaysian citizen, both of whom were delivering methamphetamines as couriers," he said.

"These narcotics came from Malayasia Buaya Tawau River to the Bunyu Bulungan Waters," he concluded.
