inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Jambi regional police chief (Kapolda Jambi), Inspector General Albertus Rachmad Wibowo, urged the community to quickly report to the police if they found a shortage or queue for purchasing cooking oil.

This is done to anticipate the scarcity of cooking oil in Jambi Province. Residents are asked not to panic and are advised not to buy cooking oil, implores the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Jambi Police (Polda Jambi), Commissioner Mulia Prianto, Minggu.

When the info about the scarcity of cooking oil spreads on social media, many willingly queued in a supermarket just to get cooking oil.

Inspector General Albertus Rachmad Wibowo asked residents in Jambi Province, both in cities and in districts, to not be swayed by the news on social media that it was difficult to get cooking oil.

Polda Jambi has already inspected the markets, supermarkets, and other grocery stores, and the supply of cooking oil is very sufficient.

"The availability of cooking oil for Jambi Province is still safe and very sufficient," said Kabid Humas Polda Jambi, Commissioner Mulia Prianto. He adds to the people not to hoard it.

The availability of cooking oil for Jambi Province is 3 times the total demand for cooking oil based on BPS (Central Statistics Agency) calculations, meaning that there is still a huge surplus of cooking oil in Jambi Province.

"We also would like to urge to the people of Jambi, if they found a shortage of cooking oil in their area, please quickly report it to the police through Police Support Service via WhatsApp number 0853 60 555 222," he said.
