The West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) through the Food Task Force Team is carrying out an inspection to prevent the hoarding of cooking oil which causes the shortage that is currently happening in various regions in Indonesia, including in West Java.
Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Jabar, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo appealed to the public to immediately report to the authorities if they found any hoarding act. The West Java Police ensured that they would follow up on the reports submitted.
"Yes, the public can report the hoarding problem to us, we will respond immediately," explained Kabid Humas, Monday (21/2/22).
Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo also conveyed that so far, no practice of hoarding cooking oil has been found in the West Java area and if it does exist, then there are penalties that can be applied to those found hoarding it.
“This is a social responsibility and there are indeed sanctions to those who violate it. Automatically with the existing authority, we carry out supervision related to this condition, "explained Kabid Humas.
