The Bali Police (Polda Bali) are preparing 6,125 personnel in nine police stations and the regional police station to secure the 2022 Nyepi Day.
The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) Polda Bali Commissioner Syamsi explained that the Denpasar Polresta had received the reinforcement, which was 1,288 officers.
The other Polres and Polresta such as Buleleng Police were reinforced by 520 personnel, Tabanan Police 682 personnel, Gianyar Police 517 personnel, Klungkung Police 415 personnel.
There is also Bangli Police with 411 personnel, Karangasem Police 761 personnel, Jembrana Police 819 personnel, and Badung Police Station 712 personnel.
Kabid Humas Polda Bali conveyed that ahead of the Nyepi Day, the Klungkung Police prioritized a village-based security method, by cooperating with a local security officer called Pecalang.
Commissioner Syamsi appealed to residents in the Traditional Village to jointly maintain and supervise activities pre-Nyepi to avoid spiking cases of Covid-19.
"To prevent the spiking cases of Covid-19 in Klungkung, I hope that the community will continue to adhere to the strict procedures," concluded the Bali Police Intermediate Officer.
