The Metropolitan Jakarta Raya Regional Police (PMJ) deployed thousands personnel to secure the 2573 Chinese New Year celebration which falls on February 1, 2022.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Endra Zulpan, S.I.K, M.Sc., said the thousands of personnel were a combination of PMJ and Polres. "It consists of 595 TMJ personnel, 1,320 polres personnel, and 50 TNI personnel," said the Head of Public Relations in his statement, Monday (31/1/22).
The middle-ranking officer of the National Police (Polri) said that the thousands of joint personnel would later be spread to 287 Vihara within the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.
The thousands of personnel are on guard starting this afternoon until tomorrow. "Securing the 2573 Lunar New Year celebration starting from Monday (31/1/22), at 15.00 WIB until Tuesday (1/2/22)," he added.
