Joint Patrol Team Dispatched to Strengthen the G20 Security

Bali -   The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has strengthened the security of the G20 Summit by holding a medium-scale patrol on Sunday (13/11) night. A total of 131 joint police personnel from Samapta, Sabhara and Mobile Brigade unit from the National Police Headquarters and the Bali Police had gone out to patrol on South Kuta, at 21:00 WITA.

The commander of the rally, Brigadier General Endi Sutendi, advised the members on duty to show their positive energy and enthusiasm to maintain the pride, honor, reputation, and credibility of Indonesian National Police in the eyes of the world.

He is optimistic that the members who went out to patrol will give their best. He is sure that with the directions given by the unit commanders, the situation during the G20 Summit can be maintained safely.

"These patrols are a means for us to carry out preventive activities in order to minimize security disturbances during the G20 Summit. We hope that these patrols will further strengthen security situations. We will show that our security officers are always ready and alert," he said.

The one-star general added that medium-scale patrols began at night until 06:00 WITA. This preventive activity will also be carried out during the day.

After the rally, hundreds of members who used two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles were immediately headed for predetermined locations such as the Silitiga Simpang and also the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in Nusa Dua Bali.
