Parade of Nations of the 58th IAWP 2021, Indonesia Becomes Host Country

Parade of Nations is one of the traditions that has always been held during the 58 years of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP). Indonesian Policewoman is proud because it is being trusted as the host of the International Policewoman Conference held in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, on Saturday (6/11/2021).

The parade was attended by 400 people, including 200 participants from 37 countries, including Indonesia. Other 200 consist of the Marching Band team of Ignatius Loyola Christian High School, Arnoldus Junior High School, and flag bearers from the youths of organisations in West Manggarai.

The parade was opened by the Chief of International Relations Division of Indonesian National Police, Police Inspector General Johni Asadoma, and attended by Deputy Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Ida Oetari, Chief of Research and Development Bureau of the Education and Training Board of Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General Juansih, and Chief of Historical Centre of Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General Apriastini Bakti Bugiansri. Besides, the VIP guests who also attended the parade were West Manggarai regents and foreign participants. The event was warmly welcomed by Labuan Bajo residents.

"This International Policewoman Conference is an international policewoman event held every year, and this is the 58th conference. We are proud that this event is held in Indonesia, in Labuan Bajo. This is an extraordinary gift", Chief of International Relations Division of Indonesian National Police said.

This event is conducted with Health Protocols enforcement, which is keeping distance and wearing masks. This parade is conducted by encircling Labuan Bajo, wearing the Police uniform from their own countries, and also accompanied by drum band corps and flag of their own countries.
