Papua Regional Police Will Organize Trauma Healing for Community in Puncak District

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Papua Regional Police and the Government of Puncak District will organize community development and trauma healing. The activity will be held after the district free from the Armed Criminal Group (Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata).

The Chief of Papua Regional Police, Police Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri explained that the area has been safe from the disruption of an armed criminal group. Trauma recovery activity will also be held for the residents to be free from fear and have regular activity.

“But the security officers in Puncak District will stay to protect the community,” as explained by the Police Inspector General Mathius in Jayapura City, Papua, Friday (05/28/21).

The Chief of Papua Regional Police mentioned that Nemangkawi Task Force occupied several villages previously the headquarter or the basis of the Armed Criminal Group.

Hence, the people are expected not to be afraid or depressed about what had happened because of the disturbance from the Armed Criminal Group, such as intimidation and confiscation of food and materials.

“When the activity will be conducted, we are still waiting for preparations,” the two-star general closed the interview.
