The Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov), in collaboration with the Papua Regional Police, will open admissions of 2,000 INP Brigadier Candidate Schools (Secaba) specifically for indigenous Papuan youth (OAP) for five indigenous Papuan areas, including La Pago, Me Pago, Tabi, Saireri, and Animha.
"The meeting between the Governor, Deputy Governor, Chief and Vice Chief of Papua Regional Police, one point discussed was the preparation of receiving 2,000 Secaba INP specifically for OAP. And this agreement, we will immediately follow up," said the Head of the Papua Province Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM), Aryoko AF Rumaropen in Jayapura City, Wednesday (7/4).
The reception of the INP OAP Brigadier was agreed upon by the meeting of the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe, Deputy Governor of Klemen Tinal, Chief of Papua Regional Police Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri, and Vice Chief of Papua Regional Police Brigadier General Eko Rudi Sudarto during a joint meeting at Dok V Jayapura State Building 5 April 2021.
"The Governor and Deputy Governor ordered BPSDM to coordinate with the Papua Regional Police for the recruitment and education of Brigadier INP sons and daughters of OAP. Technically, the Papua Regional Police submitted their budgeting needs to the Papua Provincial Government through BPSDM. Then BPSDM asked the budget team to be accommodated," explained Aryoko.
At the meeting, continued Aryoko, the Deputy Governor of Klemen Tinal, also emphasized that the acceptance of Brigadier INP must be OAP. So that young people in villages throughout Papua Province have the opportunity to have a career and serve at INP.
"For the INP Brigadier's reception, the Deputy Governor asked and emphasized that it was devoted to indigenous Papuans. Then accommodating native Papuan youths in villages throughout Papua Province," said Aryoko.
