Ops Patuh Maung 2021, Directorate of Traffic Management Banten Regional Police Distribute 2,355 Masks

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Serang. On the 11th day of Operation Obedience Maung (Ops Patuh Maung) 2021, the Directorate of Traffic Security (Ditlantas) and Traffic Unit of Banten Regional Police rank distributed 2,355 free masks to road users on Friday (01/10).

The Directorate of Traffic Security of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Rudy Purnomo, said that Operation Obedience Maung 2021 was implemented to increase public discipline on the importance of obeying traffic regulations.

The Directorate of Traffic Security of Banten Regional Police also said the activity was not only distributing masks. Officers also invited road users to maintain health protocols with 5M and orderly in traffic.

"Our members are held in the field to provide education to road users to maintain health protocols by complying with 5M because the Covid-19 pandemic still exists and is orderly in traffic, to reduce the fatality rate of traffic accident victims," said the Directorate of Traffic Security of Banten Regional Police.

In addition, the Head of Operations Development of the Directorate of Traffic Security of Banten Regional Police, Police Commissioner Giyarto added, until the 11th day of Operation Obedience Maung 2021, the Banten Regional Police had recorded 11 cases of traffic accidents in 2021, when compared to 2020 traffic accidents occurred 16 cases or decreased 31%, for Ops Patuh Maung 2020, 8 people died, for Ops Patuh Maung in 2021, 3 people died, or a decrease of 63%," said the Head of Operations Development of the Directorate of Traffic Security of Banten Regional Police.

"The target of the Ops Patuh Maung activity is to reduce congestion, traffic accidents and violations according to the characteristics of each region," added the Head of Operations Development of the Directorate of Traffic Security of Banten Regional Police.

"In carrying out the Obedience Operations, the personnel continue to follow the health protocols to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19, the activities are carried out in a preemptive, preventive and humane way," concluded the Head of Operations Development of the Directorate of Traffic Security of Banten Regional Police.
