To ensure the security and safety of the people during Christmas and New Year Eve, Police and the Government, along with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, carried out Operation Lilin 2022. This operation will be held throughout Indonesia for nine days, from December 23rd, 2022, to January 2nd, 2023.
"Ahead of the end of the year, it is our joint responsibility to ensure security and safety of the community," says the Head of South Sumatra Police, Inspector General Albertys Rachmad Wibowo, when leading cross-sectoral meeting for Security Operation Lilin Musi 2022, accompanied by Vice Governor Mawardi Yahya at South Sumatra Police HQ, Monday (12/19).
Inspector General Albertus says that Operation Lilin Musi 2022 will focus on securing the traffics during Christmas eve and New Year Eve, while also ensuring the comfort and safety of the community on celebrating the holidays.
"For the sake of comfort and safety of the community in celebrating Christmas and New Year, we truly hope that our operation could run well and successfully," concluded the South Sumatra Police Chief.
