"Today we, East Java Regional Police and Regional Leader Communication Forum continue to carry out vaccination program throughout East Java region. Yesterday we carried out vaccinations on the coast and then to universities and now we carry out vaccination at Bungkul Park," Chief of East Java Regional Police said.

Vaccinations at Bungkul Park, on average, are all now stepping into the second vaccine. Vaccination has target of 300 people per day with vaccination officers consisting of 12 health workers from Health and Medical Unit of East Java Regional Police.

Meanwhile, people who took part in this vaccination, on average, had already carried out the first stage of vaccination at Surabaya City Resort Police and 10 November Stadium, Tambak Sari Surabaya.

"This is exciting, because we see community’s enthusiasm is very high. We checked some of the participants who came, they also informed their families. Earlier I saw husband and wife then with relatives also came here," he added.

"Then in the future we will continue to carry out vaccinations. Later government program, especially East Java, will also have additional vaccines that will be carried out simultaneously," he explained.

Chief of East Java Regional Police also continues to encourage community to participate in vaccination so herd immunity is immediately formed in East Java. The two-star police general also invited public to continue to carry out the 5M protocols even though they have been vaccinated, by always wearing mask, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds and reducing mobility.

"This is basic principle in living during the Covid-19 pandemic and vaccines is only one of the efforts for prevention and more importantly, continue to implement 5M," he explained.
