Opening the Complaint Hotline, the West Java Regional Police Receives 231 Illegal Loan Complaints

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Bandung. Since the opening of the hotline number for public complaints regarding illegal online loans (pinjol), the West Java Regional Police has received 231 complaints from the public who claim to be entangled in being victims of threats and terror from illegal borrowing.

We opened the hotline number at 081234550405. That number has been open since yesterday, explained the Directorate of the Special Crime Investigation Unit (Dirreskrimsus) of the West Java regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Arief Rachman, Tuesday (11/02/2021).

The Special Crime Investigation of the West Java Regional Police admitted that although they had received many complaints from the public regarding illegal loans, his party did not immediately follow up on the complaints.

The West Java Regional Police's Special Criminal Investigation Unit reasoned that his party had to check first, namely whether the complaint was related to an illegal loan dismantled by the West Java Police in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) some time ago or not.

We have to match it first, whether this has something to do with the PT TII (DIY) illegal borrowing case or not. If the digital evidence matches, we will follow up. "If it's different (victims of illegal borrowing from other universities or other groups), we have to investigate from scratch from scratch before fingerprinting," explained the West Java Regional Police's Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation.
