Opening Technical Work Meeting for Drug Investigation Functions, Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police: In Investigations, Drug Investigators Personnel Must be Professional and With Integrity

Chief of South Sumatra Regional Police, Inspector General Eko Indra Heri S., accompanied by the High Rank Officers of the South Sumatra Regional Police, opened a Technical Working Meeting (Rakernis) for the Narcotics Investigation Function of the South Sumatra Regional Police, T.A. 2021 at the Arista Hotel Palembang, Wednesday (06/09).

"We know the circulation of this illicit goods is spread away. We look at the Anev data for the first week of the Drug Directorate of South Sumatra Regional Police for June 2021, from May 31 to June 6, 2021 there are 36 cases with 44 suspects of 36 dealers and 8 users," the Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police explained.

He claimed to have saved 3,903 lives of the nation's children, and he also reminded them not to play with these illicit goods. He emphasized both the dealers and the users will be punished.

"If a member or anyone use drugs, we can still educate and correct what they’ve done wrong, otherwise we will destroy it because there are still many out there who are interested in becoming members of the Indonesia National Police, therefore for all Drug Personnel in carrying out narcotics investigations, you must perform it with professionality and integrity,” the Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police said.

Furthermore, he added, learn something to get valuable knowledge, that will be benefit when carrying out the duties as Drug Detective.
