Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Medan. The North Sumatra Regional Police and their staff oversee the price of the Swab Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test that has just been set by the government.

It is known, the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has issued Circular Letter (SE) Number: HK.02.02/I/2845/2021 concerning the Highest Tariff Limit for Reserve Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) examinations on August 16, 2021, signed by the Director General of Health Services, Abdul Kadir.

In the Circular, the limit for RT-PCR inspection rates for Java and Bali is IDR 495 thousand, while for areas outside Java and Bali it is IDR 525 thousand.

Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, said that until now the police have not received reports from the public regarding the price of PCR which exceeds the limit set by the government.

We have not received and found cases of PCR prices that have been determined. Even so, we continue to monitor the prices of PCR Swabs in North Sumatra, said Pol. Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, Tuesday (08/24/21).

The Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police asked hospitals or private parties not to increase the PCR price set by the government.

"We ask not to increase the price that has been determined by the government. We urge the public to report to us (Polda North Sumatra) if they find the price of the PCR test is not appropriate," concluded the Indonesian Military Academy graduate in 1998.
