Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Medan. North Sumatra Regional Police and Samosir Resort Police will investigate the fall of a Toyota Avanza car to Lake Toba from KMP Ihan Batak, Monday 05/31/21). The incident caused one passenger died and three others were injured.
Head of Public Affairs Division of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi said his team had investigated number of witnesseses who saw the car crash. Also, the officers have collected evidence and KMP Ihan Batak documents.
"The ship and the car were used as evidence, and we collected the ship's documents," the Head of Public Affairs Division of the North Sumatra Police explained .
Hadi Wahyudi explained in the incident three car passengers named Zulkarnain Tanjung (76), Farida (72), and Neiny Safrina (33) were successfully evacuated by the officers. Meanwhile, another passenger, Desy Marizdayani (32) died of trapped in the car.
"They are family from Tebing Tinggi and was planning a vacation to see the mango festival in Simalombu, Samosir Regency," as said by the Middle Officer of the North Sumatra Regional Police.
He also said the survivors and the deceased one had been taken to the Ambarita Community Health Center.
" From the result of the examination, the victim died of drinking too much water so she could barely breath,” Hadi Wahyudi concluded.
