Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Medan. North Sumatra Regional Police make sure to thoroughly investigate the shooting of a journalist, Mara Salem Harahap (42), near his house at Huta VIII, Nagori Karang Anyar, Gunung Maligas district, Simalungun regency.
Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Inspector General Panca Putra Simanjuntak, said that the Police had formed a special team directly lead by the Director of General Criminal Investigation Agency, Police Grand Commissioner Tatan Dirsan Atmaja, to hunt for the perpetrator.
"The team is on the move. I also just checked the crime scene. Hope we can arrest the perpetrator", Police Inspector General Panca Putra Simanjuntak said on Monday (21/06/2021).
Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police also expresses deep condolences for the shooting of a journalist in Simalungun regency.
"I with the Commander of I/BB Military Region and Chief of State Intelligence Agency of North Sumatra express deep condolences for what happened to the victim", the two-star general said.
In the same place, Chief of PR and Press Division of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, said that the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation Agency North Sumatra Regional Police and Simalungun Departmental Police are conducting crime scene investigation.
"The team, led by Director of General Criminal Investigation Agency, Chief of Forensic Laboratory Agency, and North Sumatra Regional Police and Simalungun Departmental Police, are now working and investigating. Please for the pray so the perpetrator could be arrested", Police Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi said.
