The arrest of the drug courier was carried out in the Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, Wednesday (08/18) night. From the results of the officer's interrogation of the courier, the methamphetamine belonged to an Acehnese named Putra.
"The North Sumatra Regional Police are still investigating the drug ring," he explained.
Then the plan is to send the methamphetamine to Jakarta by land. The courier was promised to be given a salary of IDR. 103,000,000 (USD 10,000) to bring methamphetamine from East Aceh to Jakarta. Officers of the North Sumatra Regional Police's Directorate of Drug Investigation received information that the methamphetamine was brought by a man, a resident of Lueng Puet Village, Madat District, East Aceh Regency. The officers then gave chase and managed to apprehend the young man.
When they searched the two bags that were brought by the drug courier, it was found that 13 kg of crystal methamphetamine were packaged separately. Furthermore, officers brought the suspect with evidence of 13 kg of crystal methamphetamine to the North Sumatra Regional Police, Directorate of Drug Investigation for further legal proceedings.
