North Sulawesi regional police Holds Seminar on Developing an Ethical Culture in the Digital Room

The North Sulawesi Regional Police together with their ranks along with representatives from various circles attended a seminar to build a shared commitment in order to realise an ethical culture in the digital space, which is clean, healthy, productive and just in the Catur Prasetya hall of the North Sulawesi Regional Police, Tuesday (08/31/21).
In this seminar, presenters from various circles, including the North Sulawesi Regional Police, the Attorney General's Office, Ministry of Information and Technology and IT experts and grammar experts were present.
According to the Coordinating Officer for Regional Police's Policewomen of North Sulawesi, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Nonie Sengkey, this seminar was very good for the Policewomen who served in the North Sulawesi Regional Police and the ranks, some of whom participated in the activity through a zoom meeting.
"This activity is very good and of course it is a necessity, both for policewomen and other participants, because sometimes there are still people who show unethical behavior in the digital space," explained Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Nonie Sengkey.
The Coordinating Officer for Policewomen North Sulawesi hopes that this seminar can be an enlightenment for policewomen as well as invite various stakeholders to build a joint commitment to become pioneers and actors of ethical culture in a healthy, clean, productive and fair digital space.
The seminar also stated a statement of commitment with all parties to be responsible for keeping the digital space safe and clean from hate speech content, hoax news. The joint commitment statement was led by Vivi G, an observer of women and children from the NGO SWara Paramuang.
This activity is also said to be an event for socializing the Circular Letter of the Chief of Police regarding awareness of ethical culture in the digital space, as well as a socialization event for the 3 Ministers' Decree regarding the implementation of guidelines for the articles in the ITE Law, to avoid multiple interpretations.
