The North Sulawesi Regional Police again carried out social services in the form of providing food packages to journalists and fishing communities around the Jengki River, Manado. This food package assistance was given on the Soekarno Manado Bridge, after the implementation of the spreading of the Red and White Flag measuring 9×12 meters above the bridge, which was followed by a parade of fishing boats around Jengki River.
The food packages were received by each representative of journalists and also the fishing community around the Kali Jengki Manado. The activity continued with the distribution of free masks to road users who crossed the Soekarno Bridge, by Polri personnel and the Journalist Community.
Head of Operations North Sulawesi Regional Police hopes that this assistance can be useful for recipients in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic situation. Operational Chief Bureau of North Sulawesi Regional Police also said, the Police together with the National Armed Forces and the Regional Government will continue to support to maintain the condition of the community in order to avoid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Praise to the Lord, today we can carry out social services to our brothers and sisters that we need to help, explained Operational Chief Bureau of North Sulawesi, Pol. Grand Commissioner W. Wirawan. By giving masks that we distribute to the community, we also provide education so that they can live healthy, disciplined health protocols, even though they live side by side with COVID-19," he concluded.
