The Head of Public Relations of the North Maluku Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Adip Rojikan said the task force was formed based on a warrant from the North Maluku Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Risyapudin Nursin, All personnel deployed were 84 members.

The order of the Chief of National Police was delivered by the Head of the Public Relations Division of National Police, Pol. General Inspector Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, during a visit to the East Java Regional Police last week.
The Head of Public Relations of North Maluku Regional Police said the six task forces would carry out enhanced routine police activities (KRYD), targeting ports, terminals, markets and places prone to crime.
He reminded the public not to hesitate to report to the police if they know or find information on acts of thuggery or illegal levies. The North Maluku Regional Police have set up a call center 110 to accommodate community reports.
"Reporting can also be done through the Call Center 110 of Regional Police in North Maluku," he explained.
