The Noken's Directorate of Community Guidance and Development Task Force of the National Police for the Asmat region held a Care for Community Police Officers activity in the Agats District, Asmat Regency, Papua Province. This activity is included in the PEKA Program or Peduli Community Police Officers, held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
The PEKA program is led by the regional coordinator for the Head of Community Development Police First Inspector Sefnat Pitna and two members of the Noken's Directorate of Community Guidance and Development Task Force began by appealing to people who are active outside the home to maintain safety and obey health protocols to avoid exposure to covid 19.
Then the three police members used official vehicles to carry out patrols to monitor the implementation of health protocols in the Agats District. Patrol activities coincide with the distribution of masks to residents.
During the activity, the National Police ensured that the environmental conditions and situation in the district were safe and conducive. Following the results achieved, the public can feel safe and peaceful with the movement of visiting police officers, reducing crime rates, and supporting government programs in reducing the number of positive cases of COVID-19, especially in the Agats District area.
