Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Papua. On Friday, August 27, 2021, the Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of the Deiyai region conducted Kasuari (Welfare for the People) and Koteka (Communication of Traditional and Community Figures) programmes in Atadua and Yomeni village, Deiyai regency. Those programmes are two of five featured programmes of Binmas Noken and are oriented on the living quality improvement for the Papuans. The event was attended by Police Inspector 2nd Class Frans Maraya, Police Sub-Inspector 2nd Class Semin Pakage, and Police Chief Brigadier Agustinus Bawan. At 09.20 a.m., they visited the plantation owned by Mr Bernat Adii in Atuda and Yomeni village of Tigi district, Deiyai regency. Police Inspector 2nd Class Frans stated, "This visitation is to inspect when the chickpeas and taro could be harvested". However, the plants cannot be harvested yet because some of the fruits are not ripe enough. Meanwhile, the fishes at the nursery are still in the developing stage, and the fishes are still small, so the owner is afraid that the fish could die if the water became cloudier. During the occasion, Mr Bernat Adii thanked the Binmas Noken for their often visitation and education on proper farming. At 10.00 a.m., Binmas Noken continued their visit to the Yomeni village and met the community figure, Mr Stevanus Mote, Mr Philipus Pekei, and Mr Ruben Mote as the head of youth of Saint John the Baptist Waghete 2 Catholic Church of Tigi district, Deiyai regency. During the visit, Mr Stevanus Mote and the religious/community figures thanked Binmas Noken for participating in giving aid for the fundraising.
