Papua is a diverse region that hosts many tribes, races, traditions, religions, and regional contours. This diversity requires extra effort in keeping the harmonious security and order situation. Therefore, the Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of Papua, especially the Yapen Islands region, conducted PEKA programme (Caring the Community Security and Order), in which the Chief of Regional Coordinator invited the community of Tatui village to care their security and order in their area through the address of security and order advice.
Peka activity was conducted on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at 11.00, at the Tatui village, Kosiwo district, Yapen Islands regency, attended by personnel of Binmas Noken: Police Inspector First Class I Wayan Sukandia, Police Brigadier First Class Ramayadi Drakel, and Police Brigadier First Class Roy Renyaan.
At 11.35, Binmas Noken personnel of Yapen Islands arrived at the Tatui village and gave smiles and greetings to the community. With the community, the Binmas team discussed the security and order problems.
Afterwards, the activity went to the address and advised such as thank you expression for the community of Tatui village, Kosiwo district, for the warm welcome and time to listen to the security and order advice by the Chief of Regional Coordinator of Binmas Noken of Yapen Islands region.
The team addressed the Binmas Noken programme being conducted by the Yapen Islands region team. Chief of Regional Coordinator hoped that Tatui village community have some people who are educated, proactive, and innovative in handling community security and order or other public welfare fields.
The Binmas Noken personnel also invited and motivated the community to stay optimistic and recreative in the village security tasks in helping the village head. Even without a security post, village security efforts must be maintained to achieve conducive security and order in the village.
People are also expected not to be provoked by invitations by irresponsible people, belief in news or issues headed fundamentally to separatism or anarchism, which could harm themselves or other people.
The community of Tatui village, Kosiwo district, warmly welcomed the Binmas Noken team and, regarding the advice of community security and order and motivations from Binmas Noken personnel, the community of Tatui village would increase the wellbeing or security and order through positive and educative things and conducting positive and proactive measures and opening or building innovative wellbeing through the village's programme.
The relationship between Binmas Noken and the community of Tatui village makes the people to be more excited about optimising their forest and marine products. They even want to do something innovative to create conducive security and order situations in the village.
The community would also not be provoked by irresponsible parties, moreover, the ones bringing fundamentalisms that would bring something unnecessary or even harming themselves or others.
