Noken Community Development Unit's Attention to the Farming Group of Jayawijaya through KASUARI Programme

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Papua. Papua is rich and fertile land, but its agricultural sector is not being maximised by the natives or the settlers. Responding to this, Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken), with its community empowerment programmes, put attention to the farming groups in Papua, such as KASUARI Programme (Welfare for the People).

On Friday, October 29, 2021, from 10.00 to 10.45, Binmas Noken of the Jayawijaya region conducted KASUARI Programme by visiting Mr Matius Matuan and harvesting vegetables together at the farm founded by Binmas Noken in Woma village, Woma district, Jayawijaya regency.

The personnel that are present are Police Commissioner Attendant Poltak Sihombing, Police Inspector First Class I Made Sujana, Police Commissioner Attendant Harbani Paruki, Police Chief Brigadier Yan H Mnsen, and Police Brigadier Jhon Stenly Rewang. The Binmas Noken team was arrived at the house of Mr Matius Matuan and coordinated on security and order situation, and advised on security and order situation to Mr Matius and the family.

The Binmas Noken team then delivered security and order messages to Mr Matius as the village head to assist Indonesian National Police and Armed Forces to maintain community security and order in the Jayawijaya regency. The message was hoped to be transmitted to the community so that they are not triggered with negative issues or hoaxes that could unsettle people and be caused by irresponsible people.

Afterwards, the team and family of Mr Matius harvested vegetables on the farm founded by Binmas Noken. The harvested products are bought by Binmas Noken to alleviate the marketing problems experienced by Mr Matius.

Mr Matius Matuan then told them the harvested product marketing problems. Hence, the Binmas Noken personnel with the Police Commissioner Attendant Poltak Sihombing, representing Chief of Departmental Police, provided a solution to sound the personnel in the Departmental and Sectoral Police to buy the harvested vegetables.

Mr Matius Matuan thanked the visit of Binmas Noken, who has given advice on public security and order and thanked the team for the education of the farming so that he could harvest the vegetables with the Chief of Departmental Police in the farming founded by Binmas Noken.

Mr Matius and his family would also help Armed Forces-Police to maintain security and order and inform them should there is any disturbance.
