The PEKA (Care for Community Security and Order) programme is one of the programmes of the Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of Papua for the community figures of the region under the jurisdiction of Tolikara Departmental Police, just like the Binmas Noken of Tolikara who conducted PEKA programme in El Saday village of Karubaga district on Sunday (22/8/2021) on 14.00 local time.
Personnel of Binmas Noken, under the leader of Police Inspector 1st Class Widada, along with Police Brigadier Petrus and Police Brigadier 1st Class Yordan, visited the house of Mr Dimen Jikwa as the reverend at the El Saday congregation.
During the visitation, Police Inspector 1st Class Widada gave sports equipment such as volley net and ball and also basic necessities as the unifying medium of the youths in Karubaga district. During the handover ceremony, Police Inspector 1st Class Widada said, "I encourage all community figures and youths to together maintaining community security and order situation to be safe and conducive. I hope community could cooperate and actively participate with the Binmas Noken to maintain the security in Tolikara regency, in general, to stay safe and conducive as well".
The volleyball and net were also given to heighten the spirit approaching 20th National Sports Week in Papua, build sportive spirit, and avoid the youths from the harmful negative activities.
Mr Dikmen Yikwa, as the community figure and reverend, was enthusiastic in welcoming Binmas Noken Task Force, and he will support the programmes conducted there because he could feel the presence of the National Police, and he will also assist National Police in maintaining community security and order situation.
