Nemangkawi Task Force Successfully Found the Firearms Storage of the Armed Criminal Group of Gigen Telenggeng

inp.polri.go.id - Papua. Gigen Telenggeng, one of the fugitives of Armed Criminal Group (KKB) suspected as the firearms provider for the KKB, was successfully arrested by Nemangkawi Task Force on Friday, September 3, 2021.
The incident chronology, according to the statement of Chief of PR Task Force of Nemangkawi, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, started from the investigation team of Nemangkawi Task Force, who received information that the target, Gigen Telenggeng, have firearms to be handed over to the KKB. When Gigen rode the Star Wagon Taxi, the team blocked them in front of East Sentani Departmental Police to arrest Gigen.
After interrogation, Gigen directed the team to go to Sabron, as he stated that the firearms are hidden and buried in an empty lot. After arrived in Sabron, the team went to the place told by Gigen Telenggeng. At 10.45 a.m, the team dug the vacant lot and, after 30 cm digging, they found a wood chest. The team then open it with an axe and found three M16 firearms, two homemade firearms, and one bag of a magazine.
Police Grand Commissioner Kamal stated that investigation development is still ongoing. "We still deeply investigating Giggen Telenggeng related to the network of the existed KKB network he follows. Police would firmly punish any groups that violate the law, mainly the ones threatening public safety".
