NEMANGKAWI TASK FORCE ARRESTED KOPENGGA NUMBI, FIREARM STEALER OF POLICE STATION OF KULIRIK PUNCAK JAYA

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Wamena,Papua.Nemangkawi Armed Forces-Police Joint Task Force on today, August 3, 2021, at 11.20 local time, arrested the wanted person numbered DPO/82/XII/2018/DITRESRIMUM, on the case of firearm stealing with violence, who stole eight index firearms from Kulirik Police Station of Puncak Jaya regency on January 4, 2014, and December 5, 2018, named Kopengga Enumbi.
The capture of Kopengga Enumbi was occured in Puncak Senyum village on Trans Wamena-Puncak Jaya road, Irimuli district, Puncak Jaya district. Nemangkawi's Investigation and Law Enforcement Task Force, led by Police Inspector 2nd Class Dedi Sudomo, was involved in a shootout with the Kopengga Enumbi group, backed up by Raider 613/RJA Battalion until Kopengga Enumbi was disabled.
So far, Kopengga Enumbi, aka Tamu Enumbi, took a role in fulfilling logistical needs for the KSTP Yambi movement, led by Lekagak Telenggen. Later, Kopengga Enumbi aka Tamu Enumbi also the little brother of Lerimayu Enumbi of KSTP Yambi. In the arrest, Nemangkawi Task Force seized evidence such as eleven 5.56 mm SS1 ammunitions, one Badik knife, one green helmet, one Samsung phone, cigarettes, betel nut, and a Noken bag.
Chief of PR and Press of Papua Regional Police, as the Chief of Nemangkawi PR Task Force, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, said that Nemangkawi Task Force would keep in synergy and punish either separatists or armed criminal groups threatening Papua's public security and order.
