Tribratanews.polri.go.id - The Crime and Investigation Agency of National Police managed to secure two perpetrators of hacking the website of the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat, www.setkab.go.id with the initials Zyy and Lutfifakee. Both were arrested at different locations in West Sumatra.
"The arrest of the first perpetrator on August 5, 2021 in Tabing Bandar Gadang, Padang City. The second perpetrator was arrested the next day at Pasar Baru Nagari Sungai Rumbai Dharmasraya," explained the Director of Cybercrime, National Police's Crime and Investigation Brigadier General Pol Slamet Uliandi, Sunday (08/21) .
Brigadier General Slamet Uliandi said, based on the results of the investigation, the motive for the two of them to break into the government-owned website was to seek economic benefits by selling backdoor scripts from the website. "Both of them broke into government websites to gain economic benefits by selling backdoor scripts from websites," he explained.
The Director of Cyber Crimes at National Police's Criminal Investigation Department also said that the two perpetrators were members of a community called Padang BlackHat. They have even hacked the site hundreds of times. "(The perpetrators) have hacked 650 websites. The average target is corporate and government websites," he explained.
For their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 46 paragraph (1) paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 30 paragraph (1) paragraph (2) paragraph (3), Article 48 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph (1) , Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.
Previously, the website of the Cabinet Secretariat at www.setkab.go.id was hacked on Saturday (07/31/2021) morning. The site then displayed a photo of the 'flag bearer' Lutfi.
For the hack, the Cabinet Secretariat then took down or temporarily disabled the site for repairs. Now, the site can be accessed again and can be opened normally.
The Cabinet Secretariat website hacker called himself Padang Blackhat. However, it is not known exactly who the person behind the title is.
