National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo conducted a review of mass vaccination activities and social services for alumni of the 1994 Police Academy (Akpol) at the PTIK Auditorium Building, South Jakarta, Wednesday (08/25/2021). This vaccination activity was carried out in the framework of the 27 Years of Service for the Alumni of Police Academy of 1994.
Sigit also appreciated what the alumni of Akpol 94 were doing. According to him, this program was in line with the Indonesian government's target of accelerating vaccination as instructed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"Today, the alumni of Police Academy 94 are called upon to help carry out the acceleration related to the national vaccination program, which until now we hope to be accelerated and then the target is increased because the president has given a target of 2 million one day (vaccination). We can gradually adjust it according to the president's direction," said Sigit at a press conference at the PTIK Building.
The former Chief of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police also appreciated the alumni of Police Academy 94 who took advantage of the momentum of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day to contribute to the nation and state.
In this activity, he received a report that from today to tomorrow vaccinations will be held simultaneously in all regions with a vaccination target of 42 thousands.
"Then, 45 thousand vouchers from collaboration with Alfamart were distributed and given to people in need and affected by Covid-19," said Sigit.
On this occasion, the former Banten Regional Police Chief also invited all alumni of the police academy from all generations to also contribute to accelerating vaccination. This is needed to accelerate the government's target of realizing Herd Immunity.
"I give the opportunity to all forces in the police to contribute to the acceleration of vaccination, so that the government's target of realizing herd immunity can be achieved," said Sigit.
In this vaccination activity, the vaccine stocks prepared are Sinovac and Astrazeneca. The vaccinator officers involved in this activity were 46 vaccinators for the Health Service of Greater Jakarta Metro. regional Police's Medical and Health Field which were divided into 20 teams (1 team consisting of 2 personnel) and 6 consultant doctors and a mini ICU.
In addition to holding vaccinations and social services, PPE and vitamin packages were also distributed.
