Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Merauke. Battalion D Pelopor of Mobile Brigade Unit of Papua Regional Police opened a Presisi Vaccination Outlet in commemorating 76th Indonesia Independence Anniversary at the Hall of Mobil Brigade Headquarter in Merauke.
Commander of Battalion D Pelopor, Police Commissioner Attendant Clief Gerald PH Duwith, said that the vaccination event is intended for the unvaccinated Merauke people and would be held for four days from August 9th to 13th 2021.
People only need to bring their ID to this vaccination outlet. For children aged 12-17, they are required to bring a copy of the Family Card. This event is an instruction from the Commander of Mobile Brigade Unit of Papua Regional Police to commemorate the 76th Indonesian independence anniversary.
"We are in cooperation with Merauke Departmental Police and other stakeholders who support the vaccination event at the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarter. We hope that what we are doing today could help the regional government of Merauke Regency in handling the Covid-19 pandemic", the Commander of Battalion D Pelopor said.
Commander of Battalion D Pelopor also thanked the outstanding public enthusiasm, who has been in the queue since 06.00. However, they had to wait until the event was opened at 08.00. Due to high demand, the service was limited to avoid crowding and Health Protocols violations.
Commander of Battalion D Pelopor also coordinated with health workers and targeted 500 people vaccinated, either first or second dose, with the day one targeted 300 people and the same with the following days, and also adhering to Health Protocols during the events and guidance and instructions form the health workers of the Clinic of Mearuke Departmental Police.
"We follow the Health Protocols and guidance and instructions from the health workers because they are the key in this vaccination event. We only facilitate, provide the venue, and other things to smoothen and secure the vaccination event at the Battalion D Pelopor Command Headquarter", he concluded.
