The key to the success of this vaccination program is collaboration across ministries/agencies and various sectors. This was conveyed during the vaccination program at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi City, Tuesday (9/2/22).
Amid the new Omicron variant that is currently happening, a mix of discipline, obeying health protocols, and vaccinations is necessary, so everyone will be protected from Covid-19.
"Health protocols must be maintained, COVID-19 vaccination must be accelerated, especially for the elderly. I entrust this task to my colleagues so that we can look after our elderly," explained the Minister of Health.
National Police Chief (Kapolri) Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., aimed one million doses of vaccine to be injected during this event. Not only in Bekasi but mass vaccinations are also carried out simultaneously by the Regional Police (Polda) in 34 provinces in Indonesia.
“In total, we also carry out simultaneous vaccinations in 34 provinces across the state by 34 Polda. We hope that today we can achieve a minimum of 1 million inoculations," said Kapolri
The mass vaccination in Bekasi aimed 3,000 people could get their dose. Priority is given to the elderly, considering that only 58% of the elderly have one dose vaccine while the other 53% have already got their second vaccine. In addition, the other people will also be vaccinated with Sinovac, Pfizer, or AstraZeneca for doses one, two, and booster.
