Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Bali. The controlled and recovering pandemic situation in Indonesia has impacted to recovering economy as well, and this effort is not separated from the cooperation from all stakeholders in Covid-19 and national economic recovery.
Coordinating Minister of Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, appreciated the dedication of the Police and Armed Forces who have been actively involved in Covid-19 handling and national economic recovery.
Roles of Armed Forces-Police are seen in many efforts started from Community Activity Restriction Enforcement (PPKM), Health Protocols enforcements, vaccination acceleration, to the distribution of street vendors aid (BT-PKLW).
"I thanked for the best dedications given by the Police in Covid-19 handling. We have been working hard and cooperating for almost two years", Coordinating Minister Airlangga said during a briefing in the rally of 2021 Regional Chief Units in Bali on Friday (3/12/2021).
The controlled Covid-19 cases in Indonesia cannot be separated from the vaccination acceleration involving Armed Forces and Police. The effectiveness of pandemic control also influenced the national economic recovery.
Moreover, in supporting public purchasing power, the government initiated the BT-PKLW, and Coordinating Minister Airlangga stated that the programme had been 100% realised thanks to the help of the Armed Forces and Police.
Despite the controlled Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, Coordinating Minister Airlangga reminded the new variant of Covid-19. Therefore, systematic prevention and handling strategies must be strengthened, mainly on the upstream sectors, so this new variant does not enter and spread in Indonesia. Coordination with the village/neighbourhood associations officers and Covid-19 task forces in the region must be increased.
In the context of mobility restriction during Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 Holidays, Coordinating Minister Airlangga stated that Armed Forces and Police roles are essential.
"The restriction is still being conducted with measurable methods and considering the economic activity to be kept running", Coordinating Minister Airlangga said.
