Merdeka Vaccine Outlets Sam Ratulangi North Sulawesi Regional Got Police Successful, Reaching Target of 5,000 Peoples

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Manado. The Merdeka Vaccine Outlet Sam Ratulangi North Sulawesi Regional Police was successful, the target of injecting 5,000 peoples was achieved.

This was said by the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Nana Sudjana, while reviewing the second day of vaccination, Friday (08/13/2021) afternoon, at the Auditorium of Sam Ratulangi University of Manado.

The implementation of the first day of vaccination Thursday (08/12) and also the second day of this Friday went well. The target for injecting the vaccine for two days is 5,000 peoples. Per day 2,500 peoples, and the target is achieved, explained the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief.

The Regional Police Chief is grateful as well as appreciating the people who are full of enthusiasm and high enthusiasm for participating in the vaccination for these two days.

“Even though it was attended by thousands of people, there was no crowd. Because people who follow the vaccination have followed the rules and directions of the officers, "explained the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief.

He continued, the implementation of this vaccination is a synergy between the National Armed Forces, National Police and the North Sulawesi Provincial Government. "The Merdeka Sam Ratulangi vaccination is in order to welcome the 76th Indonesian Independence Day. The goal is to accelerate the achievement of herd immunity or group immunity," explained the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief.

The target for vaccine injections in North Sulawesi is 2.8 million peoples, and so far 1.1 million peoples have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

“For people who have not been vaccinated, please visit the nearest vaccination booth or location. There is no need to be afraid, because vaccines are safe and halal," the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief appealed.

He added that apart from the Sam Ratulangi University Auditorium, the North Sulawesi Regional Police and Police Stations vaccination booths were still running. "In total there are 19 outlets which are a collaboration with the local City/Regency Government," he said.

The Regional Police Chief also appealed to people who have been vaccinated to maintain their health and comply with health protocols. "Stay disciplined with the 5M health protocol to suppress the spread of Covid-19. Namely, wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility," concluded the Regional Police.

Not only reviewing, the Regional Polcie Chief who was also accompanied by the Deputy Chief of the North Sulawesi Regional Police, Brigadier General Pol. Rudi Darmoko and several Main Officials of the North Sulawesi Regional Police, also handed over food packages symbolically to vaccination participants, especially the elderly.
