The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Riau Police are collaborating to distribute 20.5 Tons of Liquid Oxygen to several hospitals in Pekanbaru City. In addition, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Riau Police also cooperate with all parties to increase group immunity or Herd Immunity. Not only Liquid Oxygen, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Riau also provided 400 units of oxygen cylinders along with 175 units of regulators to hospitals in need.
Riau Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Agung Setya Imam Effendi, said this activity was held thanks to the collaboration between Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Financial Fervices Authority and the Riau Regional Police.
"The liquid oxygen, regulators and oxygen cylinders will be distributed continuously and on a scheduled basis. We will immediately deploy an escort team so that the distribution can run smoothly," explained the Regional Police Chief, Monday (09/13/2021).
The Regional Police Chief also said that his party was also holding mass vaccinations with 2,528 doses provided. This vaccine is also an aid from Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Riau, which was previously obtained from Financial Fervices Authority Riau for people who work in the MSME sector.
On that occasion, the Regional Police Chief also thanked Mr. Andi Rachman who had followed up and continued his communication for some time so that the vaccine needs of the Riau people could be increased.
"Praise to the Lord, thanks to the collaboration with the Riau Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Riau Financial Fervices Authority, we were finally able to provide vaccines for people who needs it. Currently, with the vaccination target of 4 million people, we can only achieve 1.8 million. We are still at 40 percent. So we continue to promote vaccinations. , especially regarding availability, we will continue to work on it," he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Riau Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Juni Ardianto Rachman, hopes that all stakeholders in Riau can try to increase the number of vaccines that can enter Riau. "Hopefully Riau can soon achieve group immunity. So that community activities can be maximized, and economic movement is maintained," he concluded.
