Tribratanews.polri.go.id - In order to make Covid-19 mass vaccination a success, West Papua Regional Police, in collaboration with Batak Community Organisation (PMB), held prize vaccination conducted in the Kota Baru Aimae Square, Sorong regency, on Saturday (06/11/2021).
People were enthusiastic about attending the vaccination because not only did they get vaccinated, but they would also get free basic necessities and prizes such as a free internet quota for students.
Chief of West Papua Regional Police, Police Inspector General Tornagogo Sihombing, said that West Papua Regional Police would keep conducting every method to achieve herd immunity of the people through mass vaccination in many places and gathering support from many parties and professions to mobilise people so they willing to be vaccinated.
During the occasion, the Chief of Regional Police also pulled one of the refrigerator prizes won by Moi tribe children, Novi Evita Sani. The door prize was delivered by the Sorong Departmental Police to her house at Kilo 12 after the event. The people who got the prize felt happy because besides being healthy they also could win the prize.
She then invites her friends and community not to believe hoaxes on the Covid-19 vaccination. "Let's everyone get the vaccine to boost our immune system and could avoid our bodies from the severe symptoms when exposed", she said.
Meanwhile, Chief of PR Agency of West Papua Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Adam Erwindi, advised all West Papuans not to believe Covid-19 information from an untrue source. "Let's give the true Covid-19 information from reliable sources by asking the experts or go to Public Health Centre. Covid-19 vaccines are safe and not harmful. Get yourself vaccinated to prevent Covid-19 from spreading in West Papua province.
