Head of the Makassar City Resort Police's Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Commissioner Jamal Faturakhman said that his party had arrested two perpetrators of the theft at Makassar City Hall. Two perpetrators were arrested, namely FAM (23) and RDN (39) who have been carrying out theft since March 2021.
The two suspects were arrested after police conducted a three-day investigation into the case. After receiving information, the team then arrested the perpetrators in the area around Makassar City Hall, on Wednesday (09/15/21) night.
The police also confiscated several pieces of evidence of crimes committed by the two perpetrators, including cellphones, souvenirs, tools, and various office stationery. Police are still looking for several other pieces of evidence.
However, the police are still unable to provide information regarding the role and status of the two perpetrators. Police are still investigating the two perpetrators.
Previously reported, Mayor of Makassar Moh Ramdhan 'Danny' Pomanto admitted he suspected that the Makassar City Hall case had been burglarized. He revealed that the CCTV surveillance camera was deliberately turned off so that it did not work when the theft occurred.
